Labor minister holds meeting to follow up on conditions of Egyptian workers abroad

Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad confirmed that the Egyptian state places the safety and security of Egyptian citizens abroad at the top of its priorities. He emphasized that the Ministry of Labor continues to carry out its role in monitoring, care, and protection, as well as addressing any potential crises or challenges swiftly and decisively, in full coordination with labor representation offices, Egyptian diplomatic missions, and all relevant authorities. This came during a video conference meeting held by the Minister of Labor with labor representation offices abroad, to follow up on the conditions of Egyptian workers and emphasize the need to intensify efforts in monitoring and continuous follow-up, in full coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egyptian embassies and consulates abroad, and all relevant authorities. The minister listened to all the latest developments and the repercussions of ongoing events in some countries. During the meeting, the minister directed the need for close monitoring of the situation of Egyptians in countries experiencing tense events, keeping up with all governmental and official decisions and directives issued in these countries regarding the conditions of workers. He emphasized the importance of sending real-time reports on any developments or updates to ensure prompt action and intervention when necessary. The minister stressed the importance of continuous communication with the central committee formed within the ministry, as well as with the Central Administration for International Relations, to ensure the integration of information, alignment of perspectives, and prompt decision-making. He emphasized, it is essential to providing the highest levels of protection and support for Egyptian workers abroad.
