Egypt’s national football team secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Saudi Arabia in a friendly match at Al-Inma Stadium on Friday, serving as key preparation for the 2026 World Cup. The Pharaohs netted three goals in the first half through Islam Issa (4′), Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet (16′), and Ahmed Sayed Zizo (44′), while Omar Marmoush added the fourth in the 56th minute. Head coach Hossam Hassan started with Mostafa Shobeir in goal, behind a defense of Ahmed Fatouh, Hamdi Fathi, Yasser Ibrahim, and Mohamed Hany, with a midfield of Marwan Attia, Imam Ashour, Trezeguet, and Islam Issa supporting Marmoush upfront. In the second half, 11 substitutions were made, including Mohamed El Shenawy, Ramy Rabia, and Mostafa Mohamed, to rotate the squad. The team is now preparing for another friendly against Spain this Tuesday in Barcelona.
