The proposed shift to remote work Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly announced that the government is currently studying a framework to allow state employees to work remotely one or two days per week. This initiative aims to reduce the operational costs of government buildings and alleviate pressure on the national power grid. New curfew for the New Administrative Capital In addition to the remote work study, the Prime Minister announced strict new operational hours for the Government District. Following the conclusion of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, all work within the administrative hub will officially end at 6:00 PM. To ensure maximum energy savings, a mandatory lighting deactivation policy will be enforced, requiring all building lights and non-essential electronic systems to be deactivated immediately following the daily closure.
