Cold weather forecast across Egypt until Friday: Egyptian Meteorological Authority

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts that from Monday, March 9 to Friday, March 13, the weather will be cold at night and in the early morning. It will grow milder during the day across most of the country. Weather maps warn of fog forming between four and nine am on certain agricultural and highway roads, as well as those near bodies of water, particularly roads leading to and from northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, central Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt. Drivers are advised to exercise caution while driving in the early morning. Most areas will also experience intermittent wind activity, with speeds ranging between 30-35 kilometers per hour. Weather maps predict a slight rise in temperatures across most parts of the country, ranging from two to three degrees Celsius, starting Wednesday, March 11. Temperatures Greater Cairo and the Lower Egypt will highs between 21-23C at the beginning of the week, gradually rising to 25C on Thursday, while lows will range between 10-13C. On the northern coast, maximum temperatures will range between 19-20C, with cooler conditions at night. The Northern Upper Egypt will see highs between 22-25C. Southern Upper Egypt will experience warmer weather, with maximum temperatures ranging between 26 and 30 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures between 12 and 15 degrees. The EMA advised citizens to wear appropriate clothing – especially during the night and early morning hours -, exercise caution while driving in foggy conditions, and to follow regular weather forecasts for any updates.
