The Cairo Criminal Court has delivered ots decisive final verdict in the “Seeds International School” child abuse case, sentencing four defendants to death by hanging. The ruling, issued on Wednesday, follows the formal approval of the Grand Mufti of Egypt and marks the conclusion of a legal battle that has gripped the nation since late 2025. Two other defendants were acquitted due to insufficient evidence. The case dates back to November 25, 2025, when the Public Prosecution ordered the arrest of four school employees—including security personnel and cleaners—on charges of kidnapping and aggravated sexual assault. Investigations revealed that the perpetrators exploited administrative negligence and “blind spots” in the school’s surveillance camera coverage to carry out their crimes. The prosecution detailed a disturbing “secret game” used to terrorize the children. The defendants reportedly used knives not only for physical threats but to psychologically manipulate the victims, telling them they would be killed if the abuse was ever revealed. The conviction relied heavily on state-of-the-art forensic work by the Forensic Medicine Department and the Ministry of Interior’s Technical Assistance Unit. Forensic teams successfully retrieved hundreds of deleted photos and videos from the defendants’ mobile devices, uncovering a pattern of extreme predatory behavior. Furthermore, DNA reports confirmed physical traces belonging to the defendants on the victims’ clothing—evidence legal experts called the “final nail in the coffin” for the defense. The Ministry of Education placed the Seeds International School under full financial and administrative supervision. All administrative officials at the school were referred for investigation on charges of gross negligence for failing to protect students within the school premises.
